Dillard's Washington, Wilberforce's Howard capture Week 4 HBCUAC Men's Cross Country Weekly Awards
NEW ORLEANS - September 23, 2025 - Dillard University's K'Mon Washington wins Historically Black Colleges and Universities Athletic Conference (HBCUAC) Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week. Wilberforce University's Skyaqui Howard takes home Freshman of the Week. The athletes were honored for their performance between September 15-21.
Washington broke the program record with a time of 28:42.2 at the Loyola Invitational's eight-kilometer race. He finished 12th out of 48 runners from New Orleans National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics Schools.
Howard broke Wilberforce's record finishing the All-Ohio Intercollegiate Challenge eight-kilometer course in 29:44.4. He ran at a 5:58 mile-pace. This is Howard's third weekly honor.

About the HBCU Athletic Conference
The HBCU Athletic Conference (HBCUAC) is the only HBCU conference in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA). On July 1, 2024, the conference rebranded from the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference (GCAC) to the HBCU Athletic Conference, marking a new era for the conference that embodies the makeup of its membership.
