Goldsby repeats as HBCUAC Men's Runner of the Week
NEW ORLEANS - September 9, 2024 - Wiley University men's cross country athlete Javoun Goldsby repeats as Historically Black Colleges and Universities Athletic Conference (HBCUAC) Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week for his performance from September 2-8, the conference announced Tuesday.
Goldsby, the HBCUAC Preseason Men's Runner of the Year, ran a personal best 23:38.3 in the University of Texas at Tyler's Season Opener six-kilometer race. He surpassed his previous best by over three minutes, averaging 5:54 mile pace. Most of his competitors were from National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) schools.
